On Monday, March 16, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a residence on Highway 177 in reference to a disturbance. According to the HCSO, upon arrival to the scene medical personnel were already providing treatment to the victim, who was later transported for further medical attention.
The HCSO says that deputies began interviewing individuals on scene in an effort to determine what had occurred. Deputies later made contact with the victim and obtained a statement regarding the incident. Investigators also obtained the 911 recording and executed a search warrant at the residence in an effort to locate and collect evidence.
According to a release posted to the HCSO social media page, all information gathered during the investigation was presented to the State Attorney’s Office. Based on the evidence, arrest warrants were issued for Daniel Noe Valencia and Daniel Carlos Valencia for Aggravated Battery. Both individuals have since been taken into custody.
Due to Marsy’s Law, the HCSO states no information concerning the victim will be released, and the investigation is ongoing.
