On the evening of Friday, May 22, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence on Highway 179 regarding a reported stabbing.
During the altercation, the victim, identified as the suspect’s boyfriend, was stabbed multiple times in the arm and shoulder area with a knife.
Deputies located the suspect, Jennifer Darley, inside the residence with the doors locked. After a brief period, Darley exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
The victim was transported by Holmes County EMS to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Darley was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
