During its regular session on May 6, the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners joined Building Official Keith Bennett in signing a proclamation to observe May as Building Safety Month.
The proclamation, endorsed unanimously by the board, affirms the county’s commitment to promoting building safety, resilience, and sustainability. Building Safety Month is a nationwide campaign led by the International Code Council to raise awareness about the importance of building codes and code officials in ensuring the safety of the structures where residents live, work, and play.
