The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office announces that Matthew Alford has been arrested in Walton County on various charges, including active warrants from Holmes County.
Following his arrest, HCSO investigators interviewed Alford regarding the burglary at Macedonia Church. During the interview, Alford allegedly admitted to breaking into the church and stealing multiple items. Thanks to the ongoing investigation, those stolen items have been recovered and will be returned to their rightful owners.
Sheriff Tate extends his appreciation to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in apprehending Alford. He will be facing additional burglary and theft charges in Holmes County.
