Two arrested after narcotics discovered in home with child present

Two individuals were taken into custody Monday, August 4, following the discovery of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia inside a Holmes County residence where a small child was also present.

According to a release from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, investigators responded to a home on Highway 2 in an effort to locate Shannon Lolley, who was wanted on active arrest warrants.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the home’s occupant, who informed them that Lolley was in a bedroom with another individual, identified as Chris Costello. Investigators were granted access to the room, where they found Lolley lying on the bed. Illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia were reportedly visible in plain view.

The residence was secured, and a search warrant was obtained. A subsequent search of the home led to the discovery of methamphetamine, marijuana, and additional drug-related items—all within close proximity to a young child who was in the room at the time.

Lolley was arrested on her outstanding warrant. Costello was taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including:

  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Child Neglect
  • Maintaining a Drug House

The investigation is ongoing.
