The Doctor’s Memorial Hospital Foundation Board has announced the Christmas Tour of Homes, a holiday tradition set for Saturday, December 14. This festive event offers the community a chance to explore beautifully decorated historic and modern homes in the Bonifay area.

Nancy Riley, DMH Foundation Board President, shared, “The Christmas Tour of Homes proceeds will benefit Doctors Memorial Hospital, which is dedicated to caring for and enhancing the lives of members of our community.”

The tour runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and features the following locations:

  • Old Sims House – 1789 Jenkins Rd.
  • C.A. Prim Home – 401 N. Hubbard St.
  • Bartow Driver House – 211 E. Nebraska Ave.
  • Waits Mansion – 209 W. Kansas Ave.
  • Fox Home – 850 N. Rangeline St.

The event begins at the Bonifay Woman’s Club, located at 209 E. Virginia Avenue, which will serve as the check-in point from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Here, attendees can purchase or pick up tickets, receive event maps, and enjoy refreshments. Riley added, “We are so grateful to the homeowners who are graciously opening their homes. Each home is unique and brings its own personal spin to Christmas decorating.”

Additional activities include a raffle for a Christmas quilt generously donated by Susan Viars. A former DMH employee with nearly 25 years in the accounting department and a past Foundation Board member, Viars retired in 2020 and has since taken up quilting. She also serves as the Volunteer Director at DMH and continues to decorate the hospital for various holidays and events. The Bonifay Woman’s Club will also be hosting a cake auction during the event.
