Trail Life Troop 126 Tours USS Alabama

Eighteen young Trailmen and adults from Trail Life USA Troop 126, chartered by First Baptist Bonifay, toured and spent the night aboard the Battleship USS Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, on April 24. Led by Troopmaster Coy Pennington, the group explored the ship from bow to stern, learning about life aboard the historic “Battlewagon” during World War II. The Trailmen also toured the submarine USS Drum, ranked eighth among U.S. Navy subs for enemy shipping tonnage sunk, and viewed more than 20 aircraft displayed at Battleship Memorial Park, including exhibits honoring Alabama’s 28 Medal of Honor recipients. Trail Life USA is a Christ‑centered, boy‑focused outdoor adventure and character development organization for young men in kindergarten through 12th grade.
