Convicted felon arrested on weapons charges in Holmes County

ECTOR, KENTRAL

According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, a convicted felon was arrested April 30, on weapons-related charges following a joint investigation with the Florida Department of Corrections Probation and Parole division.

Investigators responded to a residence on North Avenue after receiving information suggesting possible illegal drug activity. During the course of the investigation, contact was made with Kentral Ector, who was identified as one of the occupants of the residence and is currently on state probation.

A search of the property resulted in the discovery of two firearms. As a convicted felon, Ector is prohibited from possessing firearms under Florida law. He was taken into custody and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of state probation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
