Bethlehem High School’s David Williams named Embry-Riddle Gaetz Aerospace Career Academy’s Instructor of the Year

David Williams, an English and Aerospace Instructor at Bethlehem High School, is recognized as the Embry-Riddle Gaetz Aerospace Career Academy’s Instructor of the Year for the Panhandle region at the recent Embry-Riddle Conference.

David Williams, an English and Aerospace Instructor at Bethlehem High School, has been recognized as the Embry-Riddle Gaetz Aerospace Career Academy’s Instructor of the Year for the Panhandle region. The award was presented at the recent Embry-Riddle Conference.

Williams studied Aerospace Engineering at the University of Florida before earning a master’s degree in English education. He has been teaching since 2000 and has instructed various subjects, including English, Physics, Engineering, and Robotics, at both the middle and high school levels.

As part of his role in the Embry-Riddle Aerospace Career Academy, Williams obtained his FAA Advanced Ground Instructor license and has served as an ERAU-GAI instructor for ten years. He also works as an instructor for the PAEC-ERAU Summer STEM Challenge, a STEM-related program.

In addition to his classroom instruction, Williams established an aerospace program at a Bethlehem High School K-12 school, which has produced participants in national STEM competitions.

His recognition as Instructor of the Year highlights his contributions to aerospace education in the Panhandle region.
