Local members of law enforcement could be seen running through Bonifay in red shirts in the early morning on March 29.
The jog from Piggly Wiggly to the Holmes County Courthouse was in tribute to Special Olympics Florida, which has various events coming up throughout the year. The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes Correctional Institution, and Bonifay Police Department participated.
The run is a statewide celebration and included a torch bearer. Angel Izquierdo with the Holmes Correctional Institution was this year’s local torch bearer.
