A student from Holmes County High School has been elected to a statewide leadership position during a recent Key Club conference, marking a significant achievement for both the student and the school’s service organization.
Aniston Anderson was elected Florida District Secretary for Key Club International during the organization’s annual District Convention (DCON), held in Daytona Beach. The conference is a multi-day event that brings together high school students from across the state for leadership training, service-focused workshops, and the election of district officers.
Key Club International is one of the largest student-led service organizations in the world, with a mission centered on developing leadership skills through community service. The Florida District includes thousands of members, making the selection of district officers a competitive and prestigious process.
As District Secretary, Anderson will be responsible for maintaining official district records, documenting meetings, and assisting with communication among district leadership and local Key Club chapters throughout Florida. The role is essential in supporting the organization’s operations and ensuring coordination across its statewide network.
School representatives and club sponsors praised Anderson’s accomplishment, citing her commitment to service, leadership, and academic excellence. Members of the Holmes County High School Key Club also attended the conference, where they participated in leadership sessions and connected with peers from across Florida.
