On Saturday, March 14, a Bonifay Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on State Road 79 for a traffic violation.
During the stop, the officer observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Further investigation led to a probable cause search of the vehicle. During the search, officers located multiple clear plastic baggies containing a white powdery substance that field tested positive for cocaine, and a loaded revolver.
The driver of the vehicle, Zachary Thebo, was charged with:
• Possession of Cocaine
• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
Additional citations were issued for traffic-related violations, including an open container violation.
The driver was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Holmes County Jail.
