Holmes County deputies assist in federal arson arrest

Timothy Kuhn

Deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office assisted members of the U.S. Marshals Caribbean Task Force in the arrest of a man wanted on a federal arson warrant Friday, October 16.

According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an address on Griffin Circle to serve a federal arrest warrant on Timothy Kuhn

Upon arrival, law enforcement personnel used a public address system to announce their presence and instruct Kuhn to exit the residence. Kuhn came outside, acknowledged the presence of law enforcement, and then retreated back inside the residence.

Authorities spent approximately 20 minutes attempting to establish contact with Kuhn through the public address system and by telephone, according to the sheriff’s office. Those efforts were unsuccessful.

Chemical munitions were subsequently deployed into the residence. Kuhn then exited the residence and surrendered to law enforcement without further incident
