BFD uses newly purchased tools to save a life

BONIFAY – A collaborative funding effort between the City of Bonifay and the Holmes County Board of Commissioners to purchase a compliment of TNT Rescue tools for Bonifay Fire Rescue back in March has paid off in a big way. 

 Six months after the purchase, those tools were used to rescue one of their own. On September 10, Bonifay Polce Officer Jasley Wells, initiated a traffic stop that turned into a high-speed chase.  During the chase, Wells was involved in a rollover crash that resulted in her being trapped in the vehicle. 

Bonifay Fire Rescue responded to the scene where they employed the TNT Rescue Tools and extracted Wells from the vehicle.  Officer Wells was transported to the hospital and has since made a full recovery.
