According to the Sheriff’s Office, on August 30, 2025, a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle driven by William Langston of Tallahassee on Airport Highway. Langston refused to pull over, leading deputies on a chase that continued into Jackson County. The pursuit followed several rural roads, including Piano Road and Sloan Road, before coming to an end at a residence on Fowler Road.

Langston was taken into custody and admitted to deputies that he fled because he did not have a valid driver’s license and wanted to return the vehicle and passenger home.
